Fifth Street will close to vehicular traffic between Patterson Boulevard and Wayne Avenue on selected weekends
to create a pedestrian mall in the Oregon District with increased service areas for bars, restaurants, and retailers, and increased space for the public to enjoy.

The Oregon District is a Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area (DORA) - which allows patrons to purchase an alcoholic beverage served in a branded cup and enjoy that beverage outdoors, within the boundaries of the DORA.
2026 Planned Fifth Street Weekend Closures (Six Weekends):
May 1st - May 3rd (Derby Day)
June 5th - June 7th (Pride on Fifth)
June 19th - June 21st (Juneteenth)
July 3rd - July 5th (Independents Day Craft Fair)
July 31rd - August 2nd (Art in the City / Car Show)
September 11th - September 13th (Taste of the Oregon)
In addition to any First Friday weekend that a Block Party doesn’t also fall on.
